Who we are

Afterbook is operated by Afterbook Ltd in the United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the information you give us.

What we collect

Your email address, to sign you in. The memories, photographs, recordings and words you add to an Afterbook. The names of people you tag in photographs, where you choose to do so. Technical logs needed to run the service securely.

Where it is kept

In the United Kingdom and the European Union. Original files are stored with Cloudflare under terms that forbid their use for training artificial intelligence.

What we never do

We never use your photographs, recordings or words to train any artificial intelligence model, ours or anyone else's. We never sell your data. We never delete an Afterbook because a subscription has lapsed.

Faces

We do not build facial templates or match faces across photographs. Where we detect that a photograph contains a face, we only show you a box so that you can name the person yourself.

Your rights

You can export everything you have added, correct it or delete it. Write to hello@afterbook.co.uk.
